Written in 1792 this is one of the earliest works on feminism and philosophy. The major themes in the book are as follows; social class, republicanism, sensibility, rational education and most of all feminism. Wollstonecraft insisted that women must be educated according to their class, since they had the major responsibility educating the nation's children.
