Chekhov was a Russian who wrote short stories and plays Uncle Vanya and The Three Sisters are two of his best-known works. Chekhov was a doctor during most of his life. He was said to say, "Medicine is my lawful wife and literature is my mistress". This collection of short stories contains; The Duel, Excellent People, Mire, Neighbours, At Home, Expensive Lessons, The Princess, and The Chemist's Wife.
