Twilight of Labor

William R Wolfers

Bill Wolfers was a high school and college math teacher, who lived in Western New York. Twilight of Labor was his first of four novels and was inspired by his experience in Europe at the end of WWII, as well as by his long admiration for the best of the American labor movement. Earlier study in philosophy led him to develop the character Archie, who is influenced by Plotinus, a neo-platonist, but he also was surprised by the changing attitudes of the young toward labor.
