This the third book by the author, Carl Rogers, continues the theme of his previous two books: 'My Life in A Poem' and 'Poems, Prose, And A Few Thoughts' of real and hard to the core, yet immensely touching poetry and prose. However, in this book Carl has focused his writing to three subjects: his father, society, focusing on the treatment of his uncle in the 70's after he was abandoned by the secret intelligence service, and finally death, with an emphasis on angels. As always with Carl's books, interwoven into each theme, we are treated to a separate poem related to whatever feeling might have been at the time. This 'real-time' style of writing allows us to connect to the author, and become part of his journey, which as in his first two books, has proven to be an enlightening and intriguing reading experience.
