Explanation

"It's important to understand that every poem, whatever the topic, Tells a tale about the poet, and not just the subject." When I started writing, I had this vision of myself as a political poet. In reality though, I've come to realise that my strength lies in writing about subject matters that mean something to me personally: "One day I will share all my secrets, With that one person who wants to hear." This is that day. First and foremost, this is a collection of romantic poems, telling the story of one man's love for his muse; it is also semi-autobiographical in places - touching upon events and circumstances very personal to me; and along the way it also attempts to highlight some of the big questions of the day; from Brexit, to Fake News; from Prejudice, to Media Bias; and perhaps most importantly: "Where do all the burgers come from, Daddy?"
