"Psyche" is a comedic play written by Molière, a renowned French playwright of the 17th century. The play tells the story of a young princess named Psyche, who is so beautiful that people begin to worship her as a goddess. However, this enrages Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, who plots to punish Psyche by forcing her to fall in love with the most hideous creature in existence. Despite her initial distress, Psyche eventually learns the true meaning of love and embarks on a journey to win back her beloved Cupid.
